WE ARE CUSTODIANS OF THE PLANET AND HAVE A DUTY TO CARE FOR IT. For the past 18 years I've had the privilege of watching and caring for the resident Swans on our local river estuary. I have been charmed and fascinated by their parental skills and beauty in the water, they are Simply Superb Swans. Annual Membership to the River Nairn Swans and Waterfowl Trust is £20 for a family, can be paid securely through the PayPal Donate button below. Thank you.

Cygnets Sayonara
Yesterday the first of March the Cygnets departed the river, it looks like the final break has been made and they are now on life's grand journey.
They have had the best possible start in life, and the weather has also been kind to them - we wish them well !
Meanwhile Popeye and Penny are enjoying their new found peace and quiet with no more standing back and allowing the cygnets to eat their fill.
They can now feast together, prior to the new nesting season which is only a month away.
The cygnets were back this afternoon Joe. Will they ever leave?
ReplyDeleteWell I haven't seen them since Friday, I think they might come back briefly but the parents are unlikely to allow them to stay for any length of time now.
ReplyDeleteAnother great success Joe, well done that man.
ReplyDeleteWell done Trust Members, your contributions have ensured the survival of another brood of beautiful creatures to enhance our natural world, Thank you.
