WE ARE CUSTODIANS OF THE PLANET AND HAVE A DUTY TO CARE FOR IT. For the past 18 years I've had the privilege of watching and caring for the resident Swans on our local river estuary. I have been charmed and fascinated by their parental skills and beauty in the water, they are Simply Superb Swans. Annual Membership to the River Nairn Swans and Waterfowl Trust is £20 for a family, can be paid securely through the PayPal Donate button below. Thank you.

Babies Are Back !
Surprise, surprise, the Cygnets are back, minus "Gluey" the dominant male ! I have no idea where they've been, but they were not particularly hungry which indicates they were getting food somewhere.
Perhaps Gluey has decided to stay with another group of swans at loch Flemington or elsewhere. He may have been expelled by Popeye and Penny of course.
Ah...... interesting! Get rid of the boss
ReplyDeleteWell it could be a case of get rid of the competition...or avoid any family problems...or maybe he is besotted with some other cygnet elsewhere ! In any case I hope he is OK.
ReplyDeleteColin just said he and Euan saw a single swan today at Whiteness, it was too far away to tell if it was a cygnet though.
ReplyDeleteCould be, he may return yet. Someone else mentioned to me today that they saw 2 swans in a field at Auldearn this morning.
