WE ARE CUSTODIANS OF THE PLANET AND HAVE A DUTY TO CARE FOR IT. For the past 18 years I've had the privilege of watching and caring for the resident Swans on our local river estuary. I have been charmed and fascinated by their parental skills and beauty in the water, they are Simply Superb Swans. Annual Membership to the River Nairn Swans and Waterfowl Trust is £20 for a family, can be paid securely through the PayPal Donate button below. Thank you.

Lucky Seven
Phone call this evening from Nairn resident Phil McBride about another late brood of seven ducklings and Mother duck in their garden. When I arrived I saw 2 Crows at the bottom of the cul de sac, waiting on the mother and ducklings to descend towards the river. The Mother was spooked and I failed to catch her with the small net, she flew off but at least got the 7 ducklings. I estimate they are about 10 days old, where she came from I've no idea, but Burnetts place is close to the river.
Will see if I can get them back to Mum, rather than end up keeping them for 5 or 6 weeks !
