Ducklings Foraging



Disco's ducklings are thriving after only a few days, she is keeping them on the move foraging around the garden. 


To ensure they get enough food I scatter dried mealworm around the place, as well as providing finely chopped soft lettuce, and chick crumb starter feed within the aviary. 


Naturally they need the pond and the occasional mud hole, to ensure dirt and grit as part of their diet.




Disco keeps a watchful eye for predators like Gulls, Crows, and hawks. At this age they are very vulnerable, and put in the aviary if I'm not around. Short video below.
