Spate Conditions




Heavy rain overnight on top of recent downpours have pushed the river higher. Spate conditions forces the waterfowl onto the few safe areas, like the Swans Island. The Swans are unable to cope with fast flowing water and take to the eddies until the tide fills the estuary. 



Chilling out on the island after their daily rations from the Trust. 




The injured Goose is making the most of the island grass and appears to be recovering well. 



Meanwhile it's happy to be among the large group of Mallards.  Short video below.
