I am currently suffering from the flu, so there won't be too many posts during this time. I have only missed feeding the river birds about 5 times during the last 10 years and currently other members of the Trust will take over until I get better.

Sorry to disappoint you, But the latest medical opinion is it's not flu but a stomach bug.

Why do wild birds need feeding? hasnt this created a dependency and over population?
How are you doing these days Joe, hope the stomach bug has left you alone and you are beginning to fill better.
We watched the two resident swans last week ...see off quite fiercely ..three other intruders,
As the signets glided gracefully up river behind them from the Bailey Bridge. The intruders left immedialty ...very impressive sight.
