WE ARE CUSTODIANS OF THE PLANET AND HAVE A DUTY TO CARE FOR IT. For the past 18 years I've had the privilege of watching and caring for the resident Swans on our local river estuary. I have been charmed and fascinated by their parental skills and beauty in the water, they are Simply Superb Swans. Annual Membership to the River Nairn Swans and Waterfowl Trust is £20 for a family, can be paid securely through the PayPal Donate button below. Thank you.

Penny and Duke Return
Has been over 3 weeks Since Penny and Duke left the river, but as expected they returned on New years day to wish us all a Happy New year ! There have been a few raised eyebrows and the big question " Where are our Swans? ". Looks like Penny may have given up on her new mate, or it was challenged by Duke and gave up.
Nesting time is not until March, so there is still time for much to happen on the river. There will almost certainly be a challenge for the territory, and Penny will not give it up easily. In spite of a 3 week absence,
both of them look really well.
