Found a dead herring near what they call the pumping station---it had been lieing in the water for a while but today most of it was eaten away.
Must have been dumped in the water by someone from their freezer, you wont get herring coming into the river. the gulls will soon dispose of it along with any salmon kelts coming down stream.
Sorry i meant one of that big birds that feed on the fish.
A Heron, There has been less seen in recent years and several found dead on the beach and along the riverside.
