twa can play sometimes silly etc.

Anyone can make a comment on the content of my blog if they wish. Most of my blog will consist of photos , experiences and personal opinion on things that matter to me, that's the whole idea of having a weblog. I wont be drawn into third party attacks on me or my blog through the likes of the gurn from nurn.

I also dislike anonymouse < (not a mistake) comments, it might suit the way the Gurn operates but i prefer the Scots way of doing things.

Twa gurn roving reporters waiting to interview the hoodies - whilst contemplating if Sainsburys have a big flat roof and plenty of cheap white bread as advertised.
Young gull chicks feeling the heat.

This time last year was cold and wet!

For those of you wondering what i mean by "the Scots way" It means what scots are renowned for. Plain speaking, upfront, and open. So any hiding behind the cloak of anonymity whilst doing your devious best to put the boot into your opponent will not be tolerated on my blog.

All the birds would be happier Joe if you switched to binoculars instead of feeding them breadcrumbs, but then you wouldn't get your power kick would you? It would save the birds an early death from eating crap food and you would be setting an example but then Joe always knows best doesn't he

Nice switch to German on your blog, is this now the 'German way' rather than the Scots!

Someone who really cares about wildlife....If I thought for a moment what I feed the Swans and ducks was crap I would'nt do it. I went through the whole issue of what and why i feed the Swans
etc on the Gurn before. How would you know what makes a bird happy ? I think eating, surviving and procreating is what makes a bird happy.
Stick to what you do best, girnin on the gurn.

Big Bird, aka Someone who cares, anon etc.I did not even know the video was being taken, and it was Somerfields own make wholemeal bread.
I spend over £250 a year on wholemeal, carrots and spinach. I also feed them grass and dandelion leaves when available.
In addition, I have a donor that gives me brown bread twice a week, and occasionally a restaurant that gives me white bread crusts for the ducks. Other people also hand me white and brown bread from time to time.
When I started feeding the Swans and ducks 6 years ago, there were about 4 adult mallards and a pair of swans in the lower river.
Now we have 2 swans 8 cygnets, and around 80 ducks, plus all the other wildlife too.You have made it apparent you bump into me and know me, but still keep your anonymity ?
What comes over to me is your seething resentment and envy, possibly because you have lived here all your life and done absolutely nothing for the benefit of river wildlife.
Whatever your motives, put it on the Gurn or some other girnin blog. This thread is now closed.

PS. There are only 80 Ducks in the area during the winter,(who can blame them, safest place to be) currently around 50, which i dont think is too much for a river estuary.
As for my own bread habit. I only eat multigrain, no white !
