Always One

I have noticed year after year, there is always one Mummy's boy or girl that just loves staying on Penny's back on water or land !
It was still very cold today and that damn wind has been blowing from the north for weeks - surely it will come to an end soon.

After witnessing Penny and Popeye and the young ones down at the Harbour today, I typed in "swans and cygnets Nairn" and found this blog!

My husband and I noticed them by chance. Penny was gently herding the cygnets into the water whilst Popeye watched from the shore. It was a lovely sight. I've seen both adult swans nesting on the river and hoped for the best. We certainly haven't been disappointed!

Your blog is very informative and I admire your persistance in watching the ducks and swans nesting and thriving, especially given the weather recently!

Hi Linda, Glad you enjoyed the action down at the Harbour, they are a joy to watch especially the first few weeks when Penny regularly carries them on her back. Hopefully the weather is changing for the better at last..it's been a relentless northerly wind for weeks and not at all helpful to man nor beast !
Glad you like my blog too.
