Green Grass

While down south have parched ground, we have probably had the best summer for many years. We had enough rain to keep things green but not enough for the river system. Having had many ducklings keeping my grass down, I now have to cut it again after they were released.

I hate waste and the Swans get my grass cuttings which they thoroughly enjoy.

They are almost fully grown and ready to fly as soon as Slim gets his new plumage complete in a week or two.

Meanwhile our 3 remaining golden ducklings along with 6  dark ones, are growing fast and should be safe from most predators in about a weeks time.
