The Cygnets are still being hounded by the parents, and we are now down to 6 in the harbour this morning. The other big male is still being singled out and made to leave the river time and again. I get the impression that the parents are chasing the males who have been canoodling with their sisters, so not such a happy new year for them ! The
parents are often alone and have already made the break from their offspring, it's just down to the weather as to when they decide to push them out for good.

Hi joe would just like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year for 2012 !.Hope to see loads of photo's of the swan's and duck's again this year not so much the seagulls he he.All the best to you and to all the other followers who also think you do a great job not just with the swans but the river in general.Than you :-)
