Cygnets are growing fast and necks extending.
Weather and river conditions good.
However, there is one cygnet with a bit of a limp, only noticeable when out of the water.
Will consult our Avian adviser to see if any action is needed, may have been stood on by a parent early on.
Other than that they are thriving and some good shots were available.
Cygnets are almost a week old and brood still intact, the weather improved slightly just in time for their arrival.

Based on the Saying "you only get back what you put in", I'm glad putting in the right food and care produces these results.
UPDATE : Proper scrutiny this morning reveals Penny has equaled her record of 9 cygnets hatched !
With another brief break in the cloud, I can confirm it is 8 cygnets hatched to date.
Enjoy some of the Aww pics taken this evening,
plus a short video when penny tries to call them from the nest to the moat.
Wisely they stayed where it was warm, the air is still very cold !
