A new addition to the river today, in the past month there has been a microwave cooker , an ironing board, a bicycle and now a child buggy, so much for Nairn civic pride !

I wanted to make the most of the nice weather today by going for a walk.But to my disgust there was dog dirt covering the grass from the jube bridge down to the harbour.Standards are so low in this town it make me ashamed at times to come from here !!!.
I know exactly what you mean. As it happens I had a walk along the links yesterday and stepped in dog poop, it was the first walk I had along there in weeks. Poor dog ownership and control are the neglected problem.
Why no action from the authorities. Highland Council has a £600 million budget but doesn't give a s*** about this very important issue.
Have councillors washed their hands of this problem too?
I brought this subject up before, and requested a few dog control signs along the lower river paths. Owners need educating and reminded to keep their dogs under close control. If this means keeping them on an extendable lead, they would be more obliged to clean up after their pets!
