Having a camera and being in the right place at the right time can sometimes result in stunning photos.
Todays pic on the BBC, of a weasel on the back of a Woodpecker, is a perfect example of the above statement.
I have never had such a good opportunity but I've had my moments,
including one with a weasel that did not notice me because it was so preoccupied. It's the closest I've ever been to a weasel.
Just a reminder to all the young wildlife photographers out there aged 8 to 15, about the River Nairn Swans and Waterfowl Trust Wildlife Photo Competition. Spring to Summer will present many opportunities to take nice photos, it could be an insect, a bird, an animal - any local wildlife at all.
